Come backstage to where it all began.
Step inside the original home of Monteith’s — our legendary brewery — and get amongst the local stories, brewing yarns, and of course, the beer.
This isn’t just a tour, it’s a chance to immerse yourself in the Monteith’s world. You’ll head behind the scenes of our brewing space, hear the tales that shaped Monteith’s, and meet fellow beer lovers along the way.
Let’s be honest — it’s all about the beer. Pour two fresh tasters at the Brewer’s Table, enjoy them out the back, then head home with your own mixed 6-pack of favourites or wildcards for your fridge.
Please note: Monteith’s beer is now brewed offsite. Although currently non-operational, we still provide the full brewery tour experience. Come and enjoy the taste of that legacy — and a cold one on us!
Tours run daily at 4pm.

TASTINGS
Enjoy a selection of our best brews for you to linger over while planning your next move in our modern and warm restaurant and bar.
Great for sharing or taking one’s time, the Tasting Tray is a generous serving of 6 or 3 Monteith’s beers, served up with tasting notes and an in-depth insight into the various beers styles that Monteith’s has to offer.
The 6 ‘Tasting Tray’ receives a West Coast Passport to ‘confirm’ your attendance, which includes one complimentary Monteith’s beer at numerous hotels and discounts at other tourism hot spots on your journey through the West Coast.
Includes access to the Monteith’s Brewery museum where you can learn about our heritage and story here on the West Coast of New Zealand for over 150+ years.
