CURRENT OPENINGS
FOH (Front of house) Hospo leader + duty manager - MONTEITH’S BREWERY
You will:
Be part of our tight knit leadership and wider team
Be available to work at least one day during the weekendConfident and capable of being a shift manager for a team of 4-10 members (on some shifts)
Support our Experience Manager
Work closely with our Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to ensure smooth service
Work alongside a high-performing, positive crew who back each other every shift
Make cocktails, coffees, and serve our award-winning beers, wines, and food
Bring beer knowledge to the table – or be keen to build it with us
Be a tour guide and take our famous Monteith’s Brewery tours
You should apply if you:
Love to provide hospitality and have at least 6 months bar experience
Have strong leadership and communication skills
Are keen on growth and development
Are at least 20 years old (as Duty Managers Certificate is required for the role). We would help the right candidate get their DM Certificate.
Are keen to join a family run, locally owned and operated business
Are a NZ resident or have a valid NZ work permit

CHEF DE PARTIE - MONTEITH’S BREWERY
You will:
Be part of our tight knit kitchen and wider team
Be available to work at least one weekend day
Confidentiality run your own section (grill, larder, fryer, dessert) – opportunities to upskill
Deliver top-quality food with care, passion and precision
Work alongside a high-performing, positive crew who back each other every shift
Run a clean, safe, and well-prepped section
Support service delivery through good communication and teamwork
Take pride in your kitchen and contribute to our ongoing success
You should apply if you:
Have previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Hungry – for work, for success and to keep learning
Are passionate about food and always keen to learn more
Show up on time, ready to go, and with a “let’s do it” attitude
An understanding of the importance of our Food Control Plan (experience with Safe Food Pro is a plus)
Organisational qualities - mature, professional and uses initiative
You want to be part of a kitchen crew that backs each other and gets the job done well
Qualifications and Experience Required
NCEA Level 1 (essential, if a NZ resident)
2 years+ of relevant work experience in a commercial kitchen (essential)
Fluent English (essential)
Hospitality or Tourism related qualifications (preferable)
New Zealand Certificate in Cookery - Level 3 and 4 (preferable, if a NZ resident)
Full time, Ideal candidates are available to start in mid-late September.

Casual and Part Time – Monteith’s Brewery
Both casual and part-time positions available, perfect for students returning home for the break. Join us over the busy summer, earn a bit of extra cash before heading back to uni, and have a blast doing it.

Permanent Part-Time Cleaner – Monteith’s Brewery
10–15 hours week, 5–6 days. Attention to detail, pride in your work, and a thorough approach to cleaning. Must work one weekend morning. Perfect side hustle – get it done, grab some extra cash, and the rest of the day is yours.
